I have worked as a press photographer for more than 20 years. It was very intense work and I devoted myself to it with all my heart. Unfortunately, history took all kinds of turns and agency where I worked experienced various misfortunes and archive losses. A large part of negatives disappeared at the turn of millennium, when the publishing house had to move to another premises. Another significant amount of files lost shorly after the digital era began. Recently, when I tried to gather my favourite works, I realized that the search system of agency’s archieve has big gaps and it is extremely difficult to find what I need. Here are just few of the portraits I managed to collect. I regret that I didn’t create my own archive at that time, but the work was so intense that I wouldn’t have enough time for it.

I would just like to comment shortly on these portraits, that most of them were made for daily or weekly newspapers, what means, at a very fast rush, usually during the interviews or somewhere on the streets. Mostly all are artists of different fields. The exception are portraits intended for fashion style pages, where athletes posed in different outfits and it was done without haste.
